Post subject:  Activate charge shortcut?, sm_admin, respawn times syntax
Hi all,

3 queries -

1) anyone know the syntax to bind a command like "activate charge" to a key - i.e. it's currently X, 7 (or whatever) - I'd prefer to just hit R - like you would with "MEDIC!". I can do it by macro'ing my keypad, but I'm sure there must be a way of changing the .cfg files (like togglebind'ing autoheal etc).

2) tried to bind sm_admin to "-" in autoexec.cfg (had to create it) - but no luck - can someone confirm the location this bind is supposed to be in - my folder list is way different to demm's posted one. Guess I could bind it in each of the class .cfg's?

3) anyone know the syntax for changing respawn times - would like to reduce time between deaths on own machine (ie local server) when I'm practicing the sticky jumps across the maps. It's a stickython :)

Hi,

Opening up your console and typeing;

bind - sm_admin

Should be sufficiant.

Easy! Just open your autoexec.cfg and add:

autoexec.cfg is where I would suggest you to put your bind. It does seem strange that it's not functioning correctly... Displaying the contents of your autoexec.cfg would make it easier for me/us to help you.

For the respawn timer, if you don't wanna need to install sourcemod and all, use the command; mp_respawnwavetime to adjust the timer.(doesn't function on tc_hydro and pl_goldrush and other non-official maps which use the incorrect timer function)

Thanks guys - the activate charge bind works a treat; and similarly just typed in console for sm_admin.

Don't actually have an autoexec.cfg normally (ie have to create); there is however a config.cfg in amongst the medic.cfg etc - think the binds and other console settings appear in there now.

Used the mp_respawnwavetime command and it works a treat.
