Valve just opened a blog for TF: Quote: Now that we've settled into regular releases of content, we've found ourselves wanting a better way to talk directly to the TF2 community about the state of the game and some of the reasoning behind the choices we're making. Our hope is that this blog will accomplish that, and give everyone some better insight into our development process as well.
http://www.teamfortress.com/Our hope is that we'll be providing you with a variety of interesting things to read, whether you're a hardcore TF2 player or whether you've just started. We'll be going into the details behind some of the gameplay, posting a bunch of the concept art we haven't released before, and showcasing the great content the community is creating. In the meantime, if you haven't checked it out yet you can read up on the details of the Pyro pack. There's some concept art of the flare gun already. One version uglier than the other... ![]() |

Well i like it. Now its first hand from Valve. IT would even be better if they would have different people that work on TF2 post on the blog. Would love to hear their ideas etc. |

Many people complained about the PR from Valve especially concerning TF2. Now you got first hand information directly from the devs. Lets see what they will write. I like it, but I'm missing a feed. |

a VALVe blog with official information is certainly wanted as we always need to scrape together our news and that kind of stuff from 1000000 sources. Often VALVe doesn't reply or anythin etc. Might be they now all group everything together on one blog, which is a good thing |

Interesting, there's a new article dated on 24th June about the mechaism of healing. With 70hrs+ as a medic, I have seen the rate of healing vary sometimes. With no formal explaination from Valve, I just regarded those as "crit heals". ![]() It's pretty nice to know how it works now. ![]() |

Thanks for the hint, Xurreal. Finally they added an RSS feed to stay up2date. ![]() Nice reading. After playing a bit more the medic (easy getting "Infernal Medicine" ^^) I still haven't recognized that variable healing... ![]() |

The medic healing rate was mentioned at the steam forums a long time ago too. I don't remember if there were numbers, but it is known that when someone is hurt for a long time you can heal him very fast. |

btw, the same goes for the medic self healing. normally it's 1 hp/second, if you wait longer it goes up to 3hp/second |
