one of the weirdest but also one of the best movies i've ever seen..
dont read any reviews, just buy(download) and watch...

Cloverfield follows five New Yorkers from the perspective of a hand-held video camera. The movie is exactly the length of a DV Tape and a sub-plot is established by showing bits and pieces of video previously recorded on the tape that is being recorded over. The movie starts as a monster of unknown origin destroys a building. As they go to investigate, parts of the building and the head of the Statue of Liberty come raining down. The movie follows their adventure trying to escape and save a friend, a love interest of the main character

you just spoiled the entire movie.. like i said before!!! DONT READ REVIEWS OR WHATSOEVER and just watch it.. i didnt add the imdb page for that exact reason.. shame you spoiled it!

I actually saw it when it first came out, just spotted the topic and thought I will say my opinion about it.. (read the little text in the first post and eventually you will understand)

Haha SonnY, I guess not everyone enjoys constant jokes about their country being in the stone age. I've gotten used to the whole birds carrying information, IN RUMANIA SHEEP IS SEX TOY, sucking related and blabla jokes.

Heh, funny thing is that half of those pictures were taken in Bucharest, the capital city, which is one of the ugliest and filthiest cities in Europe. And I've traveled quite a lot. ^^
Problem is easy really, east is poor, west is rich, and ze germans will understand this. :-P The West was part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and luckily the communists didn't tare it down entirely like they did with the rest of the country.
This ought to remind austrians of home. ^^

I loved the film at the cinema, aside from the odd cheesy line, and really obvious film techniques (meh, i critic things)
