[Battlefield 2] Battlefield 2 celebrates its three year anniversary

With over 15 million player accounts being created since release, Battlefield 2 is still going strong. On the forums we often see discussions about whether there will ever be another update for the game. Well, today we are happy to announce that we are working on an update for Battlefield 2. We are planning to provide an open beta in the near future and we hope youâ€™ll give us your feedback before final release; so watch out for that.

Keep an eye on www.Battlefield.com for information on what we are working on, release dates and donâ€™t forget to visit our forums.

In the mean time Battlefield Bad Company is released worldwide this week and we expect it will keep you occupied while we work on the update.

Do people still play Battlefield 2142 or whatever it was called?

It's just I was thinking of picking it up since my PC isn't awful anymore. I don't want to buy a game that nobody plays anymore though. I suppose I could get Battlefield 2 since it looks like it still has an active fan base.

I just like big stomping robots and futuristic shit is all...

I am still playing battlefield 2142 and battlefield 2 aswell.. on Battlefield 2 you cand find 3000 servers, on Battlefield 2142 you cand find 500 servers. It's still active and a very good experience if you play on the Tactical Gamer servers http://www.tacticalgamer.com/ . Everybody has a mic, teamwork is vital.. the video's make it clear enough : And no.. I don't prefer Battlefield 2 over Battlefield 2142 because it's really hard to find this kind of teamwork on BF2.. (dont get me wrong.. both games are worth it even now)
