That looks like a TF2 mod for Half Life 1.

I want that config!
Maybe I could get a decent fps with it, but my tf2 almost looks the same as that picture.

I actually think it has a weird sort of cool look to it. Almost nostalgic.

If they made the settings even lower maybe the wii could chug out 5 fps with it.

Looks like an old 3D Game for Sega Saturn or something. I just don't understand people that turn down every option to get optimal performance.

I guess if their choice is between playing and not playing I can understand it. Way back when half life (1) was first released I had to do it for a couple of months before I got a newer computer.

By the way - has the guy who made this screenshot posted e.g. his config? I'd really like to test settings like these. ^^

How many FPS do you think you'd get if you used these settings?

If you go higher than 60 or 100 you're probably already matching or exceeding your monitors refresh rate anyway, unless you're on CRT.

Yep, and that results in horrible, horrible screen-tearing most of the time. VSYNC for the win (unless you have some problems with it unrelated to its basic functionality as an FPS limiter-synchronizer)!

But there are so many people that turn down everything for a multiplayer game, so that you can clearly see the enemy or get a really high performance. But Valve did it quite well: The gaming experience isn't affected by the computer your running it on. Even with a low-end PC you can play and compete with people who have a high-end rig.

It's a console command you can use, I forgot what it's called.
