I'm not sure in what context Doug Lombardi's comments were taken, according to Valve's very important public faceman, the developer/online publisher is open to acquisition talks:

If anyone is interested in acquiring Valve, VP Doug Lombardi is "happy to have that conversation," he told Gamasutra in a recent interview.

"By the same token, the company's doing pretty well, and we're really happy with what we're doing," he added.

"So we'll see. I mean, anything is possible."

I really hope this is a joke, because if this happens i'm going to the PS3 asap, Valve is the only reason to stay with the PC Gaming (my personal opinion)
