Just wanted to say that futari, me, undead and yellowgoudvis got the game and that its pretty cool! Perhaps something other spa & community members could look into as well. On http://savage2.s2games.com/main.php you can download a demo that lets you play for free for an hour or so!

What's the game about?

Its an online shooter/rpg/RTS.

You have two sides who fight on a map. Both sides can have 1 commander who can build structures and do special magick + command the players who are playing the game like an FPS. The people who are playing the units, are playing in 1st/3rd person mode and they have to kill the enemies commander structures and units while defending theirs. Most of the damage you can do is in melee combat, however there are also ranged weapons and items that can help you out.... Just think of it as Warcraft 3 except you are playing a unit ^^

Look on their webpage for more info

Basically it's like a worse "Natural Selection". =)

I had that game long before the Steam release, played it since January but meanwhile I don't even have it installed anymore...
IMHO it gets boring pretty quickly and I sure hope they fixed most of the bugs that made the game pretty unplayable initially... I guess there are more than ~100 people online since it came out on Steam as well. =)

It has gotten a lot of patches and is a lot better now. Besides we picked it up for only 7 euro's due to the special offer weekend. It really was a steal at that price and sure as hell good enuff!

well, what I experienced this weeken it was TOO hard to find a server cause of ppl playing, I think they've manage to get over 200 new customers this week I guess, I were fan of the first game too, funny as hell :P

But i must say Savage 2 have gotten way better than the first one

EDIT1: bought it for 10$, let's se... how to formulate this <.<
1$ is 5 kr in norway... so 10$ = 50 kr, and 50kr is like.... a price of a Pizza and a cola at the store :D

Sadly I bought it on their official site for, I think, 30 Dollars. :-P

Did you guys get some lottery tickets giving you nice items as well? Yo could've told me that you plan on buying the game and I would have sent referral mails. :-D

^^ We were loosing so badly, and still won. We only occupied a quarter of the map in the end, but the other team were cheapskates and didn't donate money to their commander. So when the goldmines all ran out we beat the crap out of em because I could still build up new defenses and garissons.
