We need some perlcode to be eddited to write some extra information to the database on receiving certain logs. Is anyone here good in perl and able to help us on short term?

I'm at least used to read perl as I'm working with a perl forum software. So perhaps I can help out... as you're writing about short term... I'll be leaving in approx. 2 hours till Sunday and dunno if I'll have internet access during that time. ;)

The edits should technicly seen get implemented correctly, so you're required to know how to code perl. (Otherwise the chance on bugs or weird behavoir is pretty large).

Ok... I can write basic stuff in Perl, too, as it's the same as a bunch of other langs only with a weird syntax. I've written some plugins for the forum software, so... it's just not my primary coding language.

If you get stuck and its not a massive job i have a expert perl coding @ work im sure he would help out, he's teaching me perl at the moment.

cool! It shouldn't be too hard, want we want it to do is write the server ID to the session table when someone connects to we can track the session to a specific server.
