The server crashed last night, everything is working but mumble seems to be the type of program that won't restart itself >_<

hmmm, monitoring thinks mumble is running....

I'll have Antz check out the scripts to see what went wrong!

Ventrilo is very easy to use and to setup but it lacks options and the development is kinda slow. Mumble is the "new kid in town". It has its problems but then again it is actively developed (compare that to Teamspeak with the same BETA version sticking around for years) and new features are added steadily.
I think it's best to use Mumble from a future perspective. Not to mention that it has the best voice activation setup and allows me to use my speakers instead of my headset because of the excellent echo cancellation.

that one time I did use mumble for an extremely short period of time I did find it much nicer than ventrilo.

You better join the main channel and not hang around in the root one where nobody is able to hear or join you. ;-)

yeah I wasn't able to do that though, because it didn't allow me. I made a new forum account though without the !, so now I'll be able to join mumble again.
