Hi there, Looking at the Psychostats of specialattack I've noticed that you guys publish the IP addresses of all players. Personally, I don't really like that feature and I don't see any added value. Other TF2 servers that use Psychostats like EVGA don't publish any personal information apart from a link to the SteamID's, so why does Specialattack do this? And could it perhaps (read: please) be removed from the stats? Thanks in advance.

You know that you are making your IP address known ALL THE TIME when you're using the internet? Unless you're browsing sites (or doing anything else) through an anonymous proxy or are using a sophisticated firewall Pyschostats should be the least of your concerns... The "added value" from an admin's perspective is that he can ban you by IP address, can check from what country you are etc. |

1) Regarding the 'added value', I still don't see it since that does not require the public publishing of your IP.The "added value" from an admin's perspective is that he can ban you by IP address, can check from what country you are etc. 2) I figured I would get a response like: "you know that you leave your IP address every time you visit a site etc. etc.". For the record, I know. But none of those sites are publishing my IP address such that 3rd parties can access them with extreme ease. 3) Unfortunately my question is still unanswered.... |

I was going to do that, but never came around to it yet. Psychostats is far from finished, we need to do alot of work on it! |
