Hey all.

I am in a group of cool people who are hosting our tenth annual lanparty this year.

The lanparty have enjoyed great success over the year, especially because of our nice prizes (We used to have computers, graphics card and the alike) however 2 years ago we ditched our sponsor after a takeover attempt from them. Because of this, we only had 100 paying gamers last year. This year, we are again looking at filling up all 150 spots!

The location is Karise, southern Sealand, Denmark. If anyone comes from outside Denmark, we can probably arrange transport to and from Kastrup Airport, Copenhagen.
Time is Oct. 3rd to the 5th, starting at 16.00 friday.
Price for attending is 160 Danish Kroner!
We do have a sleeping area seperated from the rest of the event. There will be crew members guading the entrances at all times, so your gear won't get stolen. There is also plenty of opputunities for showers!

Sponsors this year: Still unsettled. Right now we are having talks with alot of possible sponsors, many of which seems interested. Of those in question, I can mention Steelseries and dataworld.dk. We insist on not having too big prizes though, since our lanparty is about having fun and not about greed.

We will host competitions in the following games this year:
Counter Strike 1.6 (Survival)
Battlefield 2
C&C3
Trackmania Nations Forever
Call of Duty 4

Furthermore, we will have servers running 24/7 in various other games, including Team Fortress 2.

Maybe if i pass for my driverslicence we'll drive over for the weekend.

Anything SpA can do for the LAN in terms of services?

Well, we have almost everything we need.

Chairs and tables: Ordered
Power and cables: Ordered
Network: Owned
Rooms: Reserved
Servers: Owned
Licenses: Running Linux, none needed.
PR: We have a good press coverage in the local medias and we have made our own poster that we will hang up around Universities and Schools with a higher education.

The only thing we have yet to settle is the sponsors. If SpA wants to sponsor a small prize, we would be more than happy to recieve a donation (maybe a TF2 game or two) :) In return, we will get a SpA-banner spot on netbyte.dk and the intranet during the event. Banners will remain up until Augsut 2009!

However i dont have those kind of money yet, lol.
And i dont feel like flying to the event.

Sounds pretty fun.
But the location is about 850 kilmeters away from me, and from the 3rd untill the 5th I still have no vacation.
So nothing for me. :|

I'll be willing to pay a TF2 version personally. If anyone els is willing to pay the other, we can do a 2 version give-away and get some ads up!

As I told you on MSN, I am going to donate a game in SpA's name aswell. The final sponsor deal will then be 2 packages each containing:
1 game of TF2
3 months of reserved slots on the Spaservers
150 Spapoints!

In return for you being a admin and keeping an eye out on the servers, you get reserved slots and spray permits by default with your admin :18

Haha. Nah I did know about the reserve slots. Now my Spapoints! just increase all the time cause I never spend them on nothing.

I only used to spend points on reserve slots you see.

Do you have to drive through the Netherlands to get from Germany to Denmark?
