Setting up a phpbb forum, been reading guides and the what not to try and get some knowledge. If anyone can explain in laymans terms though, jobs a good 'en ![]() Cheers in advance Greasy |

its quite easy if u use this kind of finished phpbb forum like specialattack.. then its mostly about changing titles, backgrounds, colors, pictures etc. i acctually tried myself at http://www.freeforum.ca/ ![]() |

Yo greasy, It's pretty straight forward. As soon as you have login details for the webspace and mysql space, you simply upload the phpbb3 package, fill in the requested info when you browse to the link, and have phpbb3 do the rest. Once that is done you can login to the administration pannel and configure it. Its pretty self explaining. Cheers, |

This is not something I would advice.then its mostly about changing titles, backgrounds, colors, pictures etc. i acctually tried myself at http://www.freeforum.ca/ ![]() The link you gave is to a free forum setup. Basicly this means that you have a forum at which you: -> cannot upload your own skins -> cannot apply modifications -> cannot backup your forum database(some however permit this though). Best way is to go with purchasing or finding free webspace with php and mysql support. Get the details and do what SaintK just mentioned. |
