Illiterate (3)
i would like to suggest a password locked server for the next free weekend, so that we can enjoy a noobfree gaming experience. if the pass would be announced in the forums every regular would be able to join.

Please be more constuctive. Elaborate why you find it to be a bad idea.

Might be an idea to restrict 1 server to validated accounts only...

well.. the free weekends should be a platform to get ppl to buy the game and join the community if you ask me. that means helping the so called "noobs" and trying to make them as "pro" as we are. you cant just lock up a server because some new players want to try a game out. everyone started as noobie.. and if you want a noobfree gaming experience on the spa servers it should always be locked since there are always "noobs" on our servers..

+1

I've persuaded 2 friends to try it out and to play on SpA servers so they won't get bad impression from some 24/7 2fort server with screaming 10y kids and aimboting snipers. One of them decided to buy it so I think it works this way. Banning noobs from servers is stupid, everyone has to start.

I think the noobs on the servers are fun (to kill)!
Lim-Dul and me sure had a laugh when we could backstab them and detonate stickies at their feet while they were oblivious of what's going on. They make for good target practice

TO be honest I dont like the idea, I hate it when people label new comers to the game as noobs just because these people have lives and dont spend their whole lives playing TF2.

New comers should be made to feel welcome because they will get tired of the game alot later than someone who eats, sleeps & shits TF2 and by that time they wont be new to the game and will proberbly help keep TF2 going.

Exactly the point...

Only joking mate, everyone has to start somewhere and the free weekends are good because it gets more people interested in TF2 and therefore more potential people for our servers. God, when I strated out my kill to death ratio must have been on average 1/50 esp. since this is my first online PC FPS (I was a console boy before).

Kinda hopeless, but improving (118)

More noobs means more backstabs 8)

MUhahahahahahahaha

On a more serious note, yes, we all have to start somewhere. In terms of passwording servers, maybe only one of the SpA servers maximum for regulars and members. Other than that, its a bit mean!

Perhaps its not that much of a bad idea to restrict one to validated for the free weekend?

Just gives recurring players on SpA a chance to have their loyalty a bit more rewarded with a bit of a quieter weekend?

If we only did it to ONE server I dont see a huge problem...

I don't see a problem at all with more players on the servers... = more chance of advertising the community

The noobs on server 5 were a delight to play against. Me and Lim had a laugh at them as well.

The best one had to be the Spy who either disguised himself as a Heavy or a Scout, I mean, you could spot this guy coming a mile away. There was one instance, on Aqua, where I don't think he realised as a cloaked Spy you have to avoid contact otherwise you become temporarily semi-visible. I was looking down this tunnel, standing still while my team-mates ran down it. All you could see was this silhouette of a Blu Heavy banging into them all. The funniest thing was I didn't move at all and he actually ran up and started stabbing me from the front. He was basically just trying to shiv me to death.

Suffice to say I BBQ'd him vigorously.

So yeah. Keep the noobs. They're good fun.
