Tonight its maintenance night. You'll find this topic being updated trough out the night with stuff which got fixed or newly introduced.

- Renamed servers to a new naming policy for more logic and allowing more easy to get new servers added in a logical way
- Updated advertisements
- Added !servers command ingame to view server status, ip's, player counts etc etc from all SpA servers
- Fixed player count on both Arena servers
- Added new chat mode, dead players can now talk to alive players (soon the modus will be deactivated when SD kicks in, and activated again when SD is over)
- Fixed suddendeath melee on all servers
- Made /rank and /top10 availible on all servers
- Updated teamswitch plugin, plugin now allows admins to move players from and too the spectator 'team'
- Updated MOTD
- Tiny forum adjustments

Dead people can chat with alive people. This way when someone shot u, u can lol at em without needing to wait to respawn till you press enter.

I do have to say that the new ads for other servers aren't very noticeable, since they are read if you are in the red team you won't notice~

By the way - the new server names are quite awesome! Even arena server #2 got some players now. ^^

I've been thinking a bit more about that... We all know that we have internal server names for the machines like MrBlonde etc.

If we condense the SpecialAttack ads in the server names (front and back is a bit of an overkill, dont'cha agree?) we could manage to eliminate ANY kind of numbers and stick to proper names which would allow for easy communication.

What I'm speaking of is e.g.

SpecialAttack.net <servername> [<server specs>]

It would be an experiment worth doing, I think - SpecialAttack.net will be interpreted as a website address anyway by anybody who's smarter than a retarded hamster. ^^

Have to agree with this, having both SpecialAttack and http://www.SpecialAttack.net in the name seems kind of awkward and overkill.
I still think they should be numbered tho, as in SpecialAttack.net [all maps] #1 etc.

Isn't the arena server no crit as well? I think people like to know that before joining, I know I do.
SpecialAttack.net [arena maps/nocrit] #1 etc

Waaait a minute - I just noticed that "fixing the Arena server slots" included raising them to 26. Is the no-sitout plugin still active? If so, then this is pure madness! No arena map is suited for 13 vs 13 gameplay (not that we would ever have 26 players on these servers ;-)... More than 6 on 6 is already crowded enough... With the plugin running the servers needed having the player count reduced to 12-14 if anything...
Am I right in the assumption that you haven't played the arena mode yet, Saint? ;-)

P.S. We'll need to do sth. useful with the second arena server anyway.

Yeah, saw that too. The name changes must have worked as well. =)
However, that probably meant an 8on8 fight with 1 sitout - I would consider this to be at the edge of playability for arena maps...
