Hi guys, first: Intel C2D E4500 2 Gigs of RAM ASUS NVIDIA 9600GT Now, I just formated my PC recently because the thing was bloated with programs and more programs lol. The other OS was Vista x64 Ultimate, and I installed... Vista x64 Ultimate! lol, but for some stupid reason, I pick 2xAA on TF2, and on all the other Source games, but the AA dosen't work. I have the latest drivers. Why dit it work before but now, it dosen't? IT IS THE SAME OS AND DRIVER VERSION! ARGHH! try this tool: http://www.nhancer.com/?language=e it enhances the geforce drivers built in control panel and let you choose and save aa/af settings and much more for every game you play |

yep...i wanted to post the same tool...it should work fine with this~ it enhances the geforce drivers built in control panel and let you choose and save aa/af settings and much more for every game you play

to do list Bill Gaitas: 1 uninstall Vista 2 install any oher OS; XP x64 is a good option 3 trash your Nvidia 4 install your new Ati card |

Ok, problem solved, removed the official NVIDIA drivers and installed X-Treme G Drivers, it works now

I have never had an issue with drivers either. Whether its Nvidia or ATI doesn't make a difference, both have plus and minus points I smell fanboy

Then you're a hater, which is even worse because you stress the negative aspect of your opinions without counter-balancing it with rabid fanboyism. ;-)Oh, I have participated in SO many Vista-hater discussions trying to figure out what exactly was wrong with it. I'd like to see your arguments against the OS since from what I gather most people are just jumping on the bandwagon. YES, it has lots of problems but they usually don't lie where people are claiming they do. From my experience Vista has been more stable (not a single BSoD for over 1.5 years now), faster (increase in benchmarks and in-game FPS) and more convenient to use than both Win2K - which I stuck to up until the very last moment because I just was disappointed by WinXP initially and it left me scarred for life. I saw more BSoDs on it than on any other Windows version EVER but that's because I tested it very early before all the SPs etc. Some people just don't remember what a crappy system it once was. I didn't have the patience to wait for it to become better... I'm mentioning this because I know that it was a kind of irrational behavior but the underlying mechanism might be very similar for Vista-haters. The main problems seem to exist in people's minds... We don't want any LHCs! We don't want any "theories" about evolution! We don't want to adapt to a new OS! P.S. This comes from a guy who, except for some pauses, has been dual-booting with Linux for a long time. ^^ P.P.S. I found a post of Bucky bitching about Vista I haven't replied to. :-D http://forum.specialattack.net/viewtopi ... 937#p33937 All the things he mentions are EASILY configurable in Vista and if you don't know how to configure them then you're probably NOT a power user and shouldn't mess with them. ;-) |

Even when Nvidia's crappy Display Drivers crash, Vista recovers successfully from them without ANY BSOD or auto-reboots. Just remember how terrible XP was before SP2 was released! |
