Heya!
Im thinking of coming over to Amsterdam for a week or so. Whats some of the sights to see? What about accommodation? Is it expensive?
Public transport? LANS? (lol)...

Do they even have LANs these days?

Can't get a job at the mo, and sick of sitting at home and playing TF2. Thought I'd go overseas and play TF2 instead.

Hiya,

Amsterdam... Personally i hate the city, but tourists seem to love it. Accomodation is likely to be expensive unless you get yourself a hotel outside the city center. Public transport here is arranged fine, you can basicly travel anyware you like. Only downside, its focking expensive, but so is the UK :)

LANs, uhm, i wouldn't know about them! Coffeeshops we have enough thought 8)

Dude, if you come to the hague we can point out much more stuff which will help ya. Coffeeshops where you can game and internet, cheap hotels which actually aren't infested with heroin hookers and cockroaches, etc.
We live in the hague and we don't like amsterdam that much. There are also some other dutchies over here, but they're not as big a stoners as saint and me. So if you want the stoner tips of holland, better come to the hague, if you just wanna go the normal tour, you could ask help of any other dutchie over here.

Awesome guys. I'll probably do both. I've got a friend who lives in amsterdam, so can probably stay with him for a few days, then I could check out your city too. Sounds like fun! How long does it take to get from amsterdam to the hague?

Coffeeshops where you can game and internet, cheap hotels which actually aren't infested with heroin hookers and cockroaches, etc sounds PERFECT

Its around 30-40 minutes by train from Amsterdam central to The Hague central, so its a pretty quick way, and its a direct connection, no need to change trains and such!

http://booking-nl.orangesmile.com/hotel ... #topanchor

Found one that will cost you 126 euro to stay there from monday till thursday. I'll be free all those days except on wednesday, so I can explain you some stuff , how to travel to where, etc.
You'll be staying a 15 mins from the centrum of the hague.
Here's also a site where you can find the rooms for 49 euros per night http://www.hotelhetcentrum.nl/.
If money is no issue, i'd advise you to take hotel mercure or novotel in the middle of the city.
If you have even more money to spend, you could check out kurhaus hotel/hotel des indes/ and some other fancy shite in the middle of the city too,but my guess is that you won't have the money for that

*edit* hotelhetcentrum is full for monday and tuesday.

There is a Gamers-Cafe in Amsterdam, with 2 coffeeshops around the corners of this place. U can smoke and "smoke" inside this place. Its about 3.50 an hour if u wanna play here. But the computers are state of the art. No lagg whatsoever.

When i was a heavy "smoker" this was my spot where i would hang and play :)

The link : http://www.madprocessor.nl/info.php

It was a sweet place 2 be when it was just opened, because all the players who came were (casual) stoned gamers.

Nowadays they r kids who cant even aim straight and dont know shite about gaming in general.
