My CPU got 62.4 ^^ I'd go with Q9550 now. It's only around 250EUR. And 400EUR for that CPU, nice mobo and 4GB of 1066MHz RAM. It's like half of the price I'd pay for a computer of that class a few years ago. And also it's mac os friendly so you can easily hackintosh it ![]() |

Is it really so that Intel is these days so much faster or is that a bit fanboy site? I still remember good 'ol days when AMD Barton was the way to go ![]() |

Yeah, AMD dropped the ball since their epic CPUs back in the day. Now they roam the fields of budget-priced CPUs where they indeed outperform Intel's CPUs on a "per-Buck" basis. That's why you should never fall into fanboyism - always choose what's best at the moment. When AMD CPUs were good I had a Thunderbird, now I have a Core2Duo. Being a fanboy would equal to e.g. buying an ATI card in the GeForce 8 era and that would have been friggin' moronic. :-P |
