Just go and buy a GeForce 5900GX and set everything to low. Then this will happen.

At a specific range, it could happen, that different obstacles, for example boxes, will disappear, also gates will disappear, as well as thin walls.

I think I remember this happening in CSS if you put your dxlevel too low.

I don't think you can actually see through invisible gates though.


But I doubt valve added areaportals there

I have the same on my GF FX5200. Only boxes, barrels and gates are hiding, nothing else. It's only helpful when some sniper is hiding behind boxes, because you can see him, nothing more :P . So, also sentries, but you very often don't know is it behind barrels or not while trying to destroy. Especially on fastlane's last point :P .

"'tiss not working" improvements. Quake2 on Voodoo was lush though. :)
