i just got my dv bands(2st) transferred into cds(2st) today, to put it on the computer and make a movie in windows moviemaker. I transferred the cd's content into the computer and the imported it to windows movie maker. then the following problem occured one of the seven files were said to be 26 hours long and all the else were just seconds long. the 26 hour was a few second movie as the rest and then it was just a still picture( a picture/frame that did'nt move)

on my dvd-player everything worked fine thought.

have anything similar happened to anyone? HELP ME!!

anyway im going to try again tomorrow, but i did the same thing last year and everything went well(just some minor problems)

helphelphelp i'm desperate helphelphelp

Edit: do you also see that the text got all big and that it stand weird things on the top of the page :( why did it happen?
i still need an answer to the problem above.

I don't think copying everything off the DVD manually is the way to go - DVDs usually have a specific data structure and file system and hence to do it properly you have to "rip" the content (as in: DVDrip :-D)...

Check out some DVD Rippers listed on this Wikipedia page and choose the one you like the best - I have no experience with DVDripping (only CD ripping) hence can't really recommend anything...

Why would you try it again? You can't simply copy the files to your hard drive, and you can definately not drag them into moviemaker.

Take a print screen of the DVD's contents

I wonder why he keeps asking when I already answered his question. 0_o

If you imported movies that way in the past then you probably had DVDs in data format, not video format, as in: just a bunch of videos recorded on a DVD.
