... killed my graphics card. like pew pew pew OUCH MY FACE. basically - joined game, changed server, crash out - shutthefuckup/endprocess left4dead.exe -ZOMG nv4_disp fucked up bLUUUEEESCREEEN/ Bluescreen cycle much Use teh integrated graphs. shitty graphs ftl - big yellow and blue bars across screen makes me feel high. Reinstall drivers, nothing driver clean, nothing reinstall actual card - that worked for the whole of me going for a poo - then it died, rebooted and was gay as soon as i got back. Nvidia card not working -> error code 10, then 19, then 10. Any ideas? If not, taking it to work - if they can fix it in about 1 min no charge, if not then ill probably end up paying £50+ for a fix which lasts for fuck noes how long - if its a hardware issue itll be about £100-£200 for a same graphics card or a slight upgrade which i dont see why not. Or i can just sell the working PC for £250 f im lucky and fork out about £450 for a newer faster pc. BLAGH scroll down waving ftl. |

By the way - welcome to the club of people for whom L4D makes NVIDIA drivers crash (although it didn't mess up my GPU since I modified the BIOS a while ago to put additional shutdown safeties on the card - no, the card doesn't overheat). |

ATI fanboy. :-P In recent benchmarks the GeForce GTX 2xx series is both slightly faster and slightly cheaper than the top models of the Radeon 4xxx series so I'd still go with NVIDIA as for now. In fact I'm not complaining about NVIDIA here since I'm always using beta drivers that are non-WHQL and several versions ahead of what's considered stable but I'm only saying that L4D managed to crash these while other games, even more graphically demanding ones, didn't. =) |
