Title isn't strictly true, just want a discussion on it, i need a gaming laptop... in about 8 months time when i get on my merry way to university, in the meantime though, what's the top shizzle at the moment? I need something with a decent screen size, good battery life (do those come together?) and could play tf2 on max settings with good fps ![]() About 600 euros if possible (i'm in uk, but i'm being euro minded ![]() any of you guys bother with laptops? recommendations? Buying in about 5 or 6 months, so i get most upto date stuff for going away and becoming poor. |

Hmmmm lets have a look, I'm quite sure you won't be able to get one for that price which plays TF2 on full, especially on a 26 player server :/ |

I got an ad in my mail about a gaming laptop for about 600 euros. That would run tf2 fine. It's a bit on the cheap side for a gaming laptop to be honest. And you are not gonna get a good battery time on any laptop m8. You can be happy if any laptop lasts you 3 hours with a full battery, I'm not really amazed by the battery times of laptops. But anyway, better drop us a message when you're planning on buying again and we can see what we can find, but try to get a little more money together, that'll give you some more room for choosing a good brand, going for a good vid card, instead of getting an expensive leg warmer ![]() |

I know that one at that price would run it fine, its just he stated at 'max settings' which are two completely different things ![]() ![]() You could always get a spare battery to carry around in your laptop case but even then you wouldn't have long battery life while playing a game, that would increase the cost though ![]() ![]() |

yeah, but if you just want to enjoy it and play on your laptop regularly, you do want the game to run smooth. Just drop a message here again when you're really gonna buy one and when you have the money together, we can see what we can find that and how it'll run certain games. |

Sounds good to me thanks guys. There are some pretty good laptops around 500 quid tbh, with blu ray player, HD Radeon 3450 and 3gb ram. Know NOTHING about lappy processors tbh, without looking anyway. I'm off to uni i need all the money i can save, so pushing more than 500/600 quid will suck, but i need laptop that'll be pretty cool for gaming. I'm planning on just using my lappy for the first semester... you know, not being a total anti social prick, then after christmas cart my pc down. THREAD REVIVAL IN: 6 MONTHS *tick tick tick* |

>HD Radeon 3450 Nah... that could be enough for TF2, if you're not buying a laptop with a FullHD display... but you won't have fun with any newer game which depends on a good gfx card. Laptop processors are quite fine nowadays. |
