I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes to mess with it. By day, mood, season or whatever.

Here's my current one:

image shack sucks, use www.files-up.de or something. Image shack just takes ages to load.

I almost never change desktop backgrounds so my main desktop has been like this for a long time:

However, I use VirtuaWin with a special plugin so I actually have 4 different desktop backgrounds on 4 virtual desktops. Why Windows doesn't have virtual desktops by default is beyond me.

I use the other desktops for specific tasks so a clear color difference was my main goal - the first two have a Flying Spaghetti Monster logo on them and the last one, which I seldom use, simply has some gay blue background I found on the internet.

P.S. Sebas - what a bloated taskbar - if you like to have launch shortcuts for so many programs I'd consider installing Launchy - it made my Start Menu virtually obsolete.

Hah - I was using a plain blue desktop in Win2K for years. :-D
Then I switched to Vista and used the Aero standard background until I started to follow Gone With the Blastwave (currently on hiatus) where the "spoon" image is taken from (this is a 3D rendition of it). I don't know why but this image still cracks me up after almost two years. The inspiration for this was of course Monty Python's Life of Brian where the Romans search a room where some Jewish conspirators are hiding (twice) and only find a spoon in the end. ^^

Other than that you're desktop looks like a real dump with all the unsorted stuff you're keeping there. :-P

Ah, then it's a bit like my "Temp" folder you see on the dekstop. I put some things there that I delete and/or sort later.

Maybe a cleaner one, but.. there's nothing on this dekstop. How can you live, when your desktop is so empty and blue?

Ha, ha! Exactly! Hence I use Launchy to launch my programs. Alt+space and off you go. :-D
May be an old GNOME habit with its excellent GNOME-Do.

Ah, very GNOME-like (at least for those who use two panels).

Me likes - especially the pink. ^^
