i think the keyboard dont matter althought i just got an logitech g15.
i had my old normal black keyboard for years, and i cant say the g15 is a must have for the price.

also the G buttons are very handy, like binding shop items in cs for example.

Yep, all I used it for was a giant clock, since that is the only information that I'm missing when I'm in some fullscreen app. Everything else I got on my screen, so I don't need it on the keyboard.
