So i fired up good old DoDs, i used to play a huge amount, was in a clan called Victoria Cross. I'm amazed at how little has changed in 2 years since i last fired it up and had a go, it's pretty much the same, but with achievements and the tf2 revenge/dominate system and a new map, which doesn't seem very popular. No plans for a new DoD? No plans on changing anything? I used to love it but i'm never likely to play it again till there is some sort of reason to ![]() started out on Day of Defeat 3.1b i think it was, i was there when 1.0 came out and changed everything, stayed up all night waiting to get hold of it LOL. |

No reason to change something, which is already awesome (dod:s, cs 1.6, cs:source ). With new achievement system dod was updated to new engine from orange box. The biggest strength of all source based games is customization - there are hundreds of brilliant custom maps ( as in tf2, but some people are shocked when they see labor for first time after spending 6 months on dustbowl and goldrush ), so its just a matter of finding good server ![]() |
