Does anybody know how skill is counted in stats? I really can't realize how it is. In HLStatsX it's simple, because nearly always when you have KPD higher or equal 1.0, number of your points grows, and there? I really don't know how it's counted. Sometimes I play totally creepy, and my "skill" grows up, and sometimes I can have high position in my team, high KPD ratio, and it decreases.

So, does somebody know how it's counted ;D ?

It depends a lot which players you are killing, u will for example receive a lot of points for killing minimoose and maybe lose a lot of points for getting killed by someone ranked 50.000. :18
I think thats the mainidea how the stats are working.

Where as i actually lose points most times i get less than 4 kpd :cry:

That's a bit unfair imho, because there can join a good player for first time on server, own us, and stats goes down... But, stats aren't so important [; .

Well everyones stats will go down..

besides stats in TF2 are a bit dumb anyhow. Just look at or top 10 and ponder what classes these people play. Soldier, Demo, Medic, Heavy and Sniper

All classes that are sure to get a lot of kills (assists) in the hands of any decent player. Its nigh impossible for scout/spy/pyro/engi to get in there, simply because they are far more circumstantial than the soldier, demo and heavy+medic pairs. Besides the fact that anyone who wants to play those classes on maps like dustbowl, steel, badwater and gold rush are at a rather large disadvantage. (Engineer just seems to be an average man tbh)

I know that you get points for people using your tele on the in-game scoreboard (it can really add up when the tele gets to lvl 3 o_0), do you know if that's recorded in HLstats aswell?

I haven't noticed that my "skill" grows up after many teleports and nearly no kills/deaths, so I think, that not.

I've noticed as I've played Medic it helps, with the assists and possibly healing also counting towards your skill :D

AFAIK you don´t get points in stats for teleports, since its too easy or something.

I'd like stats much more if they ranked u on points, i'm regularly top 5 in the team, but as u can see, i'm averaging around rank 155.

!

I'm trying to ignore stats tbh, get in the way of just enjoying myself.

Points are not a reliable source for skill.
One map can end after 45 mins with average points of 100 for the entire team the other map can end after 5mins with 10 points for the top ranked.

I dont know how the system ranks skill. But i am playing medic since the launch of TF2 so that hadn't changed.
