AiRyahXa0S just informed me that since I own TF2, I get a free weekend of Unreal Tournament 3.

Now I know a couple of you guys have TF2 as well, so what's say we all download UT3 and have a game tonight?

Come on! It's Christmas! (It's not Christmas)

I tried to update my unreal tournament 3 last night and the servers were beyond overloaded :S
But the new pack looks nice, though it looks too fancy now and I still prefer ut2k4/ut :D

I started downloading it this morning and its noly 44% :( But I might buy it actually, haven't played any UT games in ages and for £8 (reduce from £13 or something) it seems pretty damn sweet! Ill see if I like it this weekend :) Ill probably have to wait over night to get it tbh.

I bought this during the holiday sales because it was cheap but didn't play it until today ( I was lucky to already have it downloaded just needed the 1gb patch) it was quite fun even if for the most part I had no idea what I had to do and got killed every 10seconds. If anyone is interested I'll play.
Oh and by the way german guys:
"We're working on making UT3 Black available in Germany and should have that operational today." posted yesterday on the steam ut forums by someone from valve, but since it's valve today probably means in a few weeks.

I started downloading this yesterday and when I went to my bed it was at 55% with 2 hours to go.

Now I've just tried to start the game and it's starting to download again! From 0 fucking %!!!

Don't bother, its pretty lame imo :P Went on a team deathmatch, was quite easy. Went on a warfare mode, didn't really know what to do so I just killed people. Just seems quite clunky to me :3

I bought it when it first came out (yonks ago) with the hope it'd be as good as the original unreal tournament.
Sadly let down due to clunky motion, cluttered graphics and ckufing stupid FPS problems, I let it gathered dust.
I took it out once again the other night though and suprisingly had a massive amount of fun playing single player deathmatch pickup games with bots with the mutator - slow mo kills.
It adds a whole new dimension to the game does that mutator, I'd highly recommend having a go at that for a couple of hours.

yeah it slowed down very much... one of the big downside of the game imo. i loved the movement in 2k4. dodge jumping FTW!!!! but i like hte sniperrifle in this game altough i miss the lightning gun. *is looking for his 2k4 cd's again*

Yeah i was owning with the sniper, hitting people when they were using the teleporty gun <3 But i was expecting much more fast paced gameplay where i could use rockets and do cool airshots :3
