Hey. I'm going to wish me a laptop for this years confirmation. Since I've got enough GAMING POWER in my pc, I'm considering getting a cheap netbook for homework'n'shit only. (then I can get a lot of money for the rest of the presents ![]() I've been drawling over the Samsung NC10 quite a bit. It's the most expensive (still much cheaper than average laptops) but looks pretty damn sweet. Here's some reviews Hot or not? |

a normal laptop is cheaper than a 10" netbook, so just buy a 15" laptop |

Show me a new laptop for 300 Euro which has comparable worksmanship quality and software support like the asus or msi netbooks.Additionally a laptop is not a notebook and vice versa. |

Also, you can't argue with 5-7 hours of battery life from the Eee 10" with the improved battery... I've sold a ton of Eee's and have been pretty damn impressed with them (actually have an Eee box as the media/recording PC in the front room now). But Laptops ARE Notebooks, just not Netbooks. |

Yeah, also the point of a netbook is to have something smaller than a notebook, I will probably get a netbook for uni and then just sync all the files to my desktop. 10" screen makes a big difference compaired to a 15". |

I wouldn't mind getting a Netbook, It would be useful to surf the web on the school during the break and for some work. I would probably get a Eee PC, but I need to investigate the market of Netbooks better before I make a mistake ![]() |

Ok. So netbooks seems cool to you guys in general. But what should I choose? The Samsung NC10 or an Eee? In testfreaks, a site that collects reviews from all over the net (a lot like metascore), gives the NC10 a 10 outta 10, and the Eee 1000H an 9,2 outta 10. http://www.testfreaks.com/netbooks/samsung-nc10/ http://www.testfreaks.com/netbooks/asus-eee-pc-1000h/ But what do you guys say? |

What I say? Don't trust as user friendly tech sites disguised price roboters. |

I'd still go for a small screen laptop instead of a netbook though. Although the EEE is cool to mod and install touchscreen on, have a blast with usb sticks to install your own OS, etc. But for us all round users, a laptop just better suffice. This is always personal though, I know I made the choice to get me a 15 inch lappy instead of a netbook. |
