Guys. Tonight I came home. And as usual I kicked open the garden gate and vomited on the grass. But something was amiss. Something WASN'T right!

There was an extra wheelie bin in my garden. A BLUE wheelie bin! For recyclables!!

So I now have three bins!

A brown bin; For garden waste like burst Mitre footballs and discarded syringes.

A black bin; For old carpets and animal carcasses.

And NOW a blue bin; For empty Jack Daniels Bottles and.... well, empty Jack Daniels Bottles.

So I put it to you, people of Britain, when will we stop taking this NANNY STATE bullshit and say NO!? We will not seperate our refuse! We will throw whatever we want into whatever colour bin we want REGARDLESS of colour!!

Maybe someday this Government of ours will realise that our trash can not be pigeonholed. It needs to occupy the same space! When will our Government realise that all we really want is three story Silo's we can just slam dunk our waste into!?

Sing it with me Brothers.... Slam dunk da funk, and put it up, if you got that feelin'!

I missed you last night m8!
I just don't recycle cuz i'm a lazy ass stoner! I throw batteries in the normal trash, I throw glass in with it, although this time, I gathered up a turk bag (don't ask, dutch expression) and threw all my glass waste in it, which is standing there for like 4 months already.
It's not that I don't believe in it, I'm just too lazy. Hey, I'm a member of greenpeace you motherfuckers, I pay 12 euros every 3 months just so I can feel I'm chipping in and that I'm a part of saving our current world! The fact is, our world doesn't need saving, we need saving. In the end (which is yay near) we'll all die, but this world will start over again, it has time, we haven't!

Post subject:  Re: Outrage

pfft, you've gotten off light. we get...

normal wheelie bin
another brown wheelie bin for garden waste (?!)
a rubbish plastic box (orange) for tins and bottles and so on
another rubbish plastic box, blue this time, for paper

I mean, if they insist on giving us this much crap, you would've thought that, at least, plastic might have been a priority? because that's the thing that's killing the planet, not our, umm... grass.

In Germany we have up to for garbage bins.

The black/grey one for usual litter.
The yellow one for recyclable litter.
The blue one for recovered paper.
The brown one for compost.

So, you're complaining about three bins :O?

I can offer:

black = waste
green = compostable waste
blue = paper
+
public container for paper
public container divided for green / brown / white glass
public container divided for plastics / tins / composite packaging (aka Tetrapak)

So stop complaining you recycle noobs! :ugly:

In Austria we got

brown, for organic waste
red, for paper
white, for white glass
green, for colored glass
yellow bags, for plastic bottles (but only bottles :ugly: )
black, for everything else

For special stuff (batteries, chemical waste etc) there are special containers or places to bring them. Last year in my vacation job I saw a container with red-white stripes and it was for toxic waste or so, I cant remember exactly. But yeah, plenty of bins :ugly:
