Illusion Labs shows off gaming on large multi-touch table

Illusion Labs has a video demoing gaming on a large touchscreen similar to that of someone’s iPhone (but much bigger). For iPhone users that love games like Touchgrind and Sway, you’ll love what you see in this video. Illusion Labs also makes Labyrinth for the Android OS and the T-Mobile G1.

The video and demonstration seems amazing, although I’m not too sure about what the CEO of the company had to say. “Multi-touch adds a whole new dimension to gaming when used properly,” says Carl Loodberg, CEO at Illusion Labs.

This could mean that it might be hard to use–in which case it could annoy the casual gamers market that this seems to target so well. That said, an entire platform could be created out of this so it might be something worth learning.

I don't belive that it would cause a major revolution in the gaming industry, but I can see the technology being put to good use other places,

but it would be fun to play some games like Heroes of Might and Magic and Kings Bounty on a platform like that.
but ... reaching out to the FPS gamers... wouldn't happen.

I actually saw this a couple of years ago, they were playing Warcraft 3 on it... it looked entertaining, but not really usefull as it gave you less command over the units, but none the less.. fun :D

so it's basically a really big, fancy DS?

I see potential, if doesn't cost too much
