Post subject: | Dead ringer stats bug. |
I don't care about stats so much but this draw my attention. The stats registers Dead ringer "feign deaths". For example, i played few rounds and my deaths were below 6 on each one (thanks to the dead ringer) but my stats say that i have died altogether 61 times. I'm not sure, maybe i'm just hallucinating, but its now really starting to annoy me. |

We have to check how the simluated deaths are logged exactly. Should be fixable. |

Is it something to do with the fact that it lists it as a death for the other player (or is it team?) and the stats don't know how to recognise it as a differant type of false death yet. |

valve introduced tagging of fake death's in the logs in one of the last updates. i guess blacky just has to tune the stats for it.

Each event happening is written to some kind of log and that is read by Psychostats:Player A killed player B with weapon X. Player C build a sentry. Player D got kicked. Player E meets the death. ... There's some logic which takes each line and interprets it information. Now valve added the feign death stuff: Player F feigns his death. Now the logic doesn't differ between both death types (by accident) and counts them as the regular deaths, because Valve didn't state what the new event is exactly logged like. We know have to check how exactly the logs look like and tell the logic to differ the stuff. |

I added a little fix which either will work, break everything or just do nothing. |

Why, everything's fine - [eXs] Typo is just very, VERY good at killing people with the normal grenade launcher and godly at dodging grenades too. ;-)

He got 20,5k kills in 16h on the server. 21 kills per minute. Hmmm..doable if the other team has a lot of kamikaze pyros. And maaan Frosty sucks at getting headshots: http://stats.specialattack.net/role.php?id=6 |

There's something weird going on when it comes to awards for most huntsman kills. Take a look at yesterday; http://stats.specialattack.net/awards.p ... 6-09&p=563 Necro83 has the most Huntsman kills (25) I guess his 25 kills are superior to all other kills :p |

Hmm... doesn't look like only a huntsman problem... the other weapon stats look also a bit f***ed up. Looks like PS only counts the kills until its execution time for the day and doesn't recompute them. We moved the execution time from 24:00 to somewhere in the morning to reduce server load... stupid script. ![]() ![]() |
