A free game? They need to pay me before I would consider playing this propaganda bullshit regularly.

Actually, its pretty realistic. Only thing is they want to reach as many peeps as possible so they made something almost every PC can run. After all they need to try and recruit from an as large as possible group of people.

I've been activ in AAO since the begining and I'll remember it as a great game! god damn, u never seen me playing that godlike as in these days.
(my former stats: http://aaotracker.com/usertracker.php?userid=204575)

It was a great game, cause of it's realistic taste! NO respawn when u died, friendly fire, ... U had to behave much more tactical and sneaky than in other games I played.

I've also hosted a server for my AAO Clan there :4

As I used to play hardly one map called "Radio Tower" :-13, which will be missing in AAO3, I won't get that new release.

Sounds interesting. Most realistic fps I've played is probably CS.
Gonna have to try this one out.

Aye, armed and preloaded. Just waiting...
Gonna be fun to try it out. But there are no guarantees I'll like it... seems to be a major lack of cloaking devices and back stabs. And if I can't back stab people, then at least I wanna snipe em, I'm hoping for that :D

Fucking hell.... Worst release ever.

First you have to download a good 2 gigs of content, even though you had already pre-loaded it.
Second you had to unlock it, which took a good 30 minutes too.
Then you start the game, and wait for a good minute while all it shows is a black screen.
Then FINALLY you get to make your soldier/login, however contacting the server in the US takes forever.
Finally, your soldier is created and you go to the obstacle course.
The obstacle course has a good 2 minutes loading sequence, which contains of a long hand-drawn slideshow with no audio.
Finally the damn thing loads, and you get going. You arrive at a post where you have to go prone and roll sideways through the obstacle, but when you hit "prone", absolutely nothing happens. So you hit it a few times, and tries it a few different places, in case you were too close to something to go prone. Then you look down in the right corner of your screen and notice a small silhouette standing. When you hit "prone" the silhouette lies down, even though you are still clearly standing on the screen. So you move sideways, THROUGH the wood that makes the obstacle.
After this you run to the finish, but obviously fail because you've just spent two minutes trying to get prone to work.
You press "try again", and the same slideshow as before starts, just this time it moves much faster, and there's a "BRIEFING" thingy down in the corner. You can't do anything though, so after having watched this dreadful slideshow for 10 minutes, you kill the process and start over.... login.... and see that the whole system has deleted your soldier.
So you make a new soldier, only you can't pick the same name, since the name is bound to your deleted soldier.
You press "start obstacle course", and gets taken to the slideshow, only it's moving fast again. I go watch a movie, come back 45 minutes later, only to find that the slideshow is still running, and I am still unable to do anything.

If only it had come in a box, then it could atleast had been useful for sticking under your wobbly table, but it didn't, it's utterly useless.... I am even considering reporting "AA3.exe" as a virus, my finger is lingering above the report button.

So right now I am making an anthrax letter, which I will send to the U.S. Army, and I will be expecting the Nobel-Prize for saving the world of crap like this!

I pre-loaded it and wanted to play this today. And what I had? Decryption was quick (I was able to run game from Steam folder before the release so I really don't know what was there to do). I decided to play TF2. After 2 hours I wanted to run Americas Army and what I had? Again it had to decrypt. And what's after decrypting? UPDATE. It started from 59% and I'm still downloading it (currently 85%)... Preloading games on Steam sucks.

Decrypting works now, for me at least. It started working right after I shut down TF2.

It seems pretty fun, seems like a problem with the servers though keeps not accessing the authentication server and took me a couple tries to get my account registered!

didn't save my basic rifle training pass so i'll have to do that again!

edit: the graphics arn't bad actually, about average!

yea, didn't get to play it either cause of busy steam servers. Hopefully I'll get to try it out today when I get home.
