Yeah he is dead, the thing what i hate is that he gets so much attention in the media... and i am not even talking about the celebs like madonna who said she cried all day...

I mean who cares he died... its not like he was something in the final years of his life...

well you can still listen to his music, he didnt make any new music for years. so its the same as a few years ago except that he isnt living anymore. ofc he's an icon and its not that i dont care.. but its like the world stopped now and that is a bit overkill..

Regardless of the last years with all the scandals, the dude shaped a couple of generations and was one of the greatest entertainers of all time. As for his influence in music, I'm sure his legacy will live on because songs like Dirty Diana and Thriller are pop music at it's finest.

I'm a rocker at heart but I've always enjoyed his music and many childhood memories come with his songs on background. Yes, he had a fucked up childhood and ended up fucked up in the head himself but all that fades when you play a song like Man in the Mirror.

The saddest thing is that the new generation will take him as a joke and will never understand the influence he had in his glory days.
Man, I will never ever forget how the security crew had to keep carrying people who fainted from the crowd at his Bucharest concert.

He was unfortunately the last world-wide idol. Him and Freddy. I'm still hoping for a new one, one I can fully enjoy in my youth years. Though I would've rather just been there for Beatles and Elvis.

it is a big deal because , whether u like it or not, MJ had a huge impact with his songs and style. The death of Michael Jackson isnt just a death of a person but what he was and used to be

In other news, Gary Glitter has won the auction for Michael Jacksons PC

I agree with sebas on this one...But I hated the fact the news was centred around him for a whole day.

MJJ was a massive figure in the pop industry, and was targeted by many. I'll miss the fact that he is alive and what he has done, but knowing that his music will carry on is a good thing.. and puts a smile on ma face
