I cant believe there are people other than my austrian friend playing this .
I tried out HoI2 but never really got into it.

HoI III is coming out in less than a month, so I was wondering how many people here will get it, and if it would be possible to arrange one or two nights a week to play some large scenarios? I played ALOT of HoI II, but never Multiplayer, so I might need some time to adapt (In single-player I always teched out Infantry and Panzer-units while neglecting the naval and air technologies completely. I guess this is not viable in multiplayer?) |

Mint and me will get it certainly! I'm always up for trying out the multiplayer mode, but I guess it will be pretty hard to find an occasion when all of us have so much time on their hands to complete the round. |

What's that?Saving games brings a lot of problems with it. E.g. we start a game with 4 players, then save it. At some later date 3 of us want to play, but the 4th doesn't have time. So we start a new game with just 3 players. The next time someone else might not have time, or another 5th player wants to play too. So we start another game. Pretty soon we're gonna have a mess of savegames. It's also frustrating if you make a mistake in one savegame, then go to play another game were you're more successful, but later have to reload the shitty save. So ideally we would be able to finish a game in one session or maybe in two nights in a row (if we plan ahead). If we need any more sessions than that, it will not be much fun. |

Game has just been released for pre-order on steam (It was already on pre-order other places). If you buy the game now, you get HoI 2 for free so you can warm-up for the release
