I don't have one, but I read a lot about it. I would really love to try it out, as I think in the future we will see much more of this kind of technology.

It's practical applications today seem to be limited though. If you train it, you can replace maybe one or two buttons from your keyboard or mouse with your NIA input, which cuts down some of the input delay. But I don't know if that will help your game at all and if it's worth the 80€ it costs now.

I’m into my third week with the nia and things have progressed slowly. As you will see from these videos, controlling the movement around the map is still quite difficult. The biggest problems I faced came from trying to stop the player moving around the screen. In games such as UT3 you tend to move around the majority of the time. However in Counter-Strike Source, there is a balance of running, walking and holding. The question I asked myself at the start of this test was “can the nia cope with these inputs”. You will see from the video that getting this balance is a little tricky, but I am sure that it just comes down to practice.

Seems like the future of gaming, no doubt.
But atm i think the technology is a bit too unreliable to be a proper alternative to the mouse...

It's supposed to be an alternative to a few buttons when you train it enough (it's no where near good enough to replace a mouse, but it was never designed too), which is silly because that would imply that it's aimed at the professional gamer type people, but it's too unreliable for any of them to use imo :|

It's something that will enable the scientist to upgrade it, something that's build for testing, experience, looking at how things work, what problems come with it, etc. It does intrigue me and I just like to try it for curiosity reasons

Interesting, let us know how it works out :)
Just read a bit about it, and as with the majority of new technology I'm placing my bets on it ain't gonna work as smoothly as anyone would've liked it to. Does it need to replace anything even? Why just not have it alongside your trusty mouse and keyboard? At least for now when it's not refined enough to replace either :)
