I was wondering. Is there a scriptable way to add all [SpA] members at once to your steam friends list? |

I very much doubt this, due to 2 things. where would you get the list of names from? our own database? in that case keep in mind that most of the people here have different steam account names than what shows... but if anyone think it's possible.. entertain me |

I was more thinking of something along the lined of retreiving the steam data from people in a certain usergroup, find their steam page, and have it somehow add the person to your steam, and that all automaticly. I know there are steam communities who auto-invite all players who visit their servers. So the auto invite part is possible *somehow* |

I have no doubts that autoinviting is being done by some servers, afterall they track the steam IDs, so I guess to "add" everyone to your friendslist you'd need all the steam ID's, which leaves where do you get the steam IDs? usergroup on the forum? can you extract only the steam ID's ? if this is possible, please dear god do not give the information to edeph |

because all our systems are pretty much intergrated we can pull such data out of our database quite easially  Anyway, we no longer need to wonder, as of now we have a tool availible for our new (and current) members to use which will add all of the other members to their list instantly. Hurray for lacop

Yes, it is doable. We have all SpA members in the forum group, we have all steam ids, we can calculate all friend ids, we can then generate a simple html page which opens steam://friends/add/playerid links for all members automatically. [edit] oh well... should have read the other posts too. thanks lacop. |
