Aye, pretty much sums it up.
Looks cool, though they could have skipped the cars... not a big fan of cars :P

Be fair. There was quite a few greys in the palette for the military areas and even one tiny "mythical" green area with a real tree.

I liked the atmosphere FO3 created with it's rather shy color palette :)

Yeah, what do you guys expect after the whole world has been bombed? I doubt it would be nice and colourful, except when the bombing is in process of course.

Maybe they expect Vegas to be the only place which survived the blasts?

I do expect colour yes. While hiroshima was turned brown and grey in the imdiate aftermath especialy in the blast radius, the survivers reports speak of any colour they saw beiing incredably vivid because the absence of colour elsewhere was so pronounced. Objects inside houses, behind walls all survive intact and very bright... why fallout out choose monotony instead of variety is very very odd to me.
