I actually like the sound of the machine gun firing much better than HL2's own version. :-P

The sounds during the fight in the motorboat are also epic - especially the mines. ^^

This is indeed a quality modification of Half-Life 2, which if I was to be entirely frank, I've never particularly enjoyed. Great shame considering the critical acclaim bestowed upon the release, but what can I say? I simply can't force myself to be entertained by what I feel to be a rather repetitive and drawn out affair.

Nonetheless, I imagine I might re-install Half-Life 2 in the foreseeable future in order to witness first hand, these humorous sounds in action. And you never know, I might catch the bug after all these years and actually give it the old college try and see if I can't play through. Although I doubt it.

Now, if you'll all excuse me, I'm off to give my genitals a generous licking.

YES you can play it ... BUT
1. you need a 64bit computer & OS
2. LOTs of RAM (4 GB recommended)
3. - Fully installed and unlocked HL2 / EP1 / EP2; Make sure, you have started those games in the past.

& it looks like a machinima because...
- Enhance the old HL2 maps with HDR, blooming, color-correction, new props
- Eliminate all blurry / Lowres textures with new Highres textures and/or Hires-Detail-Overlays
- Give the HL2 trilogy a more stressed, darker and uncomfortable look
- Enhance the soundtrack with a semi-dynamic new hollywood-style music
- Add more replay-value

Pretty hard to find working download locations for the RC update which dont require you to download 20 single files, as the official torrent link is dead.

Downloading it is a pain , you cant exactly find a single 10gb fast link, but installing it is easy as copy/paste.

Setting it up is quite easy. But I dislike the Alyx replacement. The rest looks quite nice.

In Kleins lab, you can read most of the stuff on the pinboard: "Try to get more Watermelons - Lamar" :mrgreen:
