What Israel has no right to exist this from an Iranian leader? Thats hardly a first and neither is the Holocaust denial... still its getting the tension rising in the area isn't it?

Bomb shelters arent what you need, I'm hoping for a spot on the international space station.

Well, when takling about halocaust everybody talks about the jews, but no1 talks about the other victims here, thats what boils my blood -.-

Don't be so alarmist Greasy, everybody in the Middle East hates Israel. And let's face it, they love spouting off bullshit like this. Nobody would take any notice if they said;

I have too, my grandmothers family are Romani Gypsy's most of whom died in Birkenau after being transfered from Lety. Her father moved the family three years before the war after a fight with locals nearly killed his wife, he completely abandond the lifestyle and moved to the UK where he worked as a farm hand. Smart move.

Only two other members of the family had the foresight to flee to turkey on the outset of the war the rest of the family perished, who moved back to the Czech Republic and also abandoned the lifestyle they now own a small vineyard near Brno, where they also used to make bootleg absinthe.

Not to mention the war with egypt, syria and jordon and the outright refusal of most Islamic states to recognise the Israeli state at all. Like I said it keeps the blood presure up.

Israel is a nation built on land historically believed to be the land promised by god to the Israelites in the old testiment. However when the nation was founded it was founded on land taken from Palestine after the Brittish rule collapsed and Jewish people fled Europe fearing a second Holocaust. Palestine was split in two Zionist and Islamic, this obviously inflamed the neighbouring Islamic states notably Iran and Palestine as they had been fighting for an independant Palestine since 1922 and now it was taken away from them.

The Jewish state then started a series of famous land grabs, evicting muslim settlers from their home and moving them on. This culminated in the 1948 Palestine War the settlement of which drafted the lines of the Israeli state. The borders however maintain a sense of flux.

The three no's accord in 67 said there should be no recognition, no peace and no negotiations with the Israel. Egypt pursued a series of sanctions blockades and eventually out right attacks on Israel.. that culminated in the US brokering a peace deal as the US and the USSR were heading towards a face off.

Since then the conflict has been on and off but mostly centered around Palestine and Isreal, but because Iran has been a very vocal enemy of Israel and has become increasingly more right wing militant the whole thing is starting to look a little more nasty. Its mostly religious but with overtones of land war.

Oddly in 1917 Brittain said it supported the idea of a Zionist nation in Palestine and was then a major player in making it happen (mostly because we were as antisematic as anyother nation and we wanted them out of our country)... so really the whole thing lies at our door
