Post subject:  New bball map

My idea is that you make the map a little bigger and then you could make two capture points on each side instead of one. This will give it more focus on jumping and airshots instead of spamming.
So I wondered if you would use it on one of your servers?

Btw, is something wrong with bball server 4/5/6? I can't join them=/

Good question, i just noticed myself that it seems impossible to connect. Probarly some port issue (stupid srcds can't handle alot of ports :X)

Will look into it asap, cheers.

I "fixed" the issues with bball servers 4,5 and 6 not being able to join.

The problem is that srcds appeartly cannot handle setting ports in the 307xx range. Ports now changed too;

For the fuck's sake... i was kicked right about 3 times in a row (!) for the 'slot reservation', what have you changed? That was: all servers are 6/6, i chose one > autoconnect. After a minute joined last slot on pingtimeout dm, right after that started loading bball map (yeeey, loading a map!11), aww sh1t, reserved slot (i spotted that message many times before, okey, i'll wait), joining another dm after a while, last slot there again. And again, for the ing hell i started loading bball.. and what? what?! reserved slot! Oh ffs.. that's just coincidence. Okey, waiting for some slot again, 5 minutes.. loading bball - what?????? how the hell reserved slot again? oh g0d, go down and write this post, son. Okey, i wrote that, don't worry - nothing is broken, all is fine. Maybe some info about these @#@$! reserved slots?

pingtimeout is not a SpecialAttack.net hosted server.

We have 6 bball2 servers available, should be enough to serve you. Other then that, reserved slots here are either a) earned trough playing, or b) earned trough donating.

Another thing, the tone in your post ain't going to get you anywhere either around here. This ain't high school.

He wasn't saying that it was, I think his point was that it's a hard server to get into, so leaving it to play on bball to then get kicked by the reserved slot was rather annoying.

He could have phrased it better though, also his general post wasn't well thought out 8)

I didn't know there was reserved slots on bball by the way, I assumed it would be reserved slots for admins (hidden 7th slot) so that they could sort out disputes/dickheads. Seems I was wrong :)

Minimoose is right :] Previous post was like heart attack, this will sort out some things.

Srcds doesn't have any feature for reserving slots on server, this feature is included in basic sourcemod package. Sourcemod cfg has some info how these system works. And one and only proper use fot that is invisible slots without kicking any players (with maximum ping, with maximum/minimum time staying on server etc).

Some real business:
1.'+maxplayers 7' into launch options
2.cfg\sourcemod\sourcemod.cfg:

// 0 : Public slots are used in preference to reserved slots. Reserved slots are freed before public slots.
sm_reserve_type "0"

sm_reserved_slots "1" (or 2,3 .... you need just increment +maxplayers)

All servers are booted with a minimum of 2 extra slots on bball2, and 6 extra slots on the regular servers.

Then reason for kicking can be only one situation - 5 players and somebody joining while admin is joining t00, but idk how that can happen three times in a row.... that's abnormal for me.
