SpecialAttack.net :: battlefield 2 now on steam

I've had BF2 since it came out, but back then I only had a laptop which liked to crash as soon as I even thought of playing it...

....it is now on my new pc but I still haven't got round to playing it due to being a noob for not having played it for such a long time

I tried this game for like 3-4 hours. Got fed up of being spawn killed and spammed from above - has it changed? Worth another look?

Unfortunatly you cannot register DVD versions of the game on steam.

Oops.... thinks of a way to get out of hole...... ahh! The in game characters are all male soldiers so thats what I meant.....

Played it a lot when last patch came out, new maps are awesome ( Road Rage <3 ), but one thing pisses me off - if you have any details on, or dont have quad core and 8gb of ram you wont connect quickly enough, which means that by the time youre on the server all planes/helis/tanks are already taken

And infantry still isn't good enough to keep me playing after almost 1000 hours ( not including clanwars ) :/

K bought it and im installing.
Can you reuse your old nick though? would not mind having my old weapons..

Time to get back my heli skills.

You should really just play this in teamplay format along with others in mumble, then the game is too awsome!

Meh, it's one that i bought trough the EA game store as downloadable game. Really hoped i could get this game to Steam, so i dont need to use that EA crap anymore. Too bad.

you can add battlefield 2 to your games list in steam. if you mean the startup videos of EA, then u can rename them and they wont run. you can also make the game login into your account straight away so you dont have to go through the login and all. i would say you should try this game with a few members on a team and talk on mumble, and you will enjoy (almost) every minute give it a go, join us on mumle. we play mostly every night, and if we dont play many of us idle on mumble so just invite us.

I hear what you peeps are saying about staying in a squad + mumble + mates, but this is still the sort of game you have to persist with and 'learn'; it wasn't worth doing that for me anyway.

seriously, if you get into a squad with Bucky, Saint and me and go medic you will do just fine. Sure you might not be a killing god, but you will definately feel like you are contributing. We had an awesome game earlier this week, with Hunth, Bucky, Saint, Kizron and me +1 random guy. The game feels very awesome when you are all together moving up to a point while bringing massed fire upon those stupid lone enemies.
