SpecialAttack.net :: Slayer Uk tour

Thrash metal legends Slayer have postponed their planned UK tour due to vocalist Tom Araya's ongoing back complaints.

The seven-show stint was due to begin on November 18 in Nottingham, but will now kick off in Manchester's Academy on March 7. All tickets for the original shows are still valid.

Araya has been laid up for the past couple of weeks with blood clots in his back, and the decision has been made to call off all forthcoming dates. "Right now," said Slayer's manager, Rick Sales, "our main concern must be the full and permanent recovery of Tom, so we have decided to clear the calendar and give him the extra time he needs to concentrate solely on good health."

Slayer have already pushed back to an unspecified date the Canadian Carnage tour with Megadeth that was due to begin on November 8.

March 7 Manchester Academy
March 8 London HMV Forum
March 9 London HMV Forum
April 2 Nottingham Rock City
April 3 Glasgow Barrowland
April 4 Leeds Academy
April 5 Birmingham Academy

Anybody else going to see them? I will be seeing them at Barrowland in Glasgow. Small venue = extremely intensive show I cant seem to find any information about support band/s for the UK tour, probably UK based band/s though.. Anybody got any information reqarding this? I was hoping Evile would be supporting but that wont be possible since their bass player died in the beginning of this month. I had a small Deja Vu feeling after I heard that he died while touring in Sweden...

I aint gonna complain, didnt get to see them this year, mate lives in nottingham and i've been to rock city before, and it is awesome. I'm going to that gig.
