According to my stats, 5-9-2008 was the first day I played TF2 on SPA. I think many of you have seen me around. So... I think it is about time to introduce myself :) I always have a good time on the SPA servers, so I never tried moving to another.

My ign is Feoraz, they always call me Jaco in real life. I'm 27 and living in Holland. I work as a game observer at Holland Casino. (Guess I like games :P )
Most of my gaming time goes to TF2. I like to play Natural Selection and simulation games as well.

Hello to you all!

Makes me happy :)

Thanks for all the replies guys! Oh... and could you reconsider about engi's on ctf maps? I think it is a loss not having them around. Just 1 as max would be neat.

We had it for ages, every single time it caused stalemates and massive chokepoints, especially on turbine. I wouldn't mind testing a limit of 1 engi on doublecross though, since it's quite a complex map.

Still, it only has two points of attack. The only difference is that a sentry in the intel room would be fairly easy to be taken down. One on the ledge outside spawn would however completely choke the top entrance (that is unless I'm missing some safe angle).

The sewer?

The sewer gives you another way around it if a Sentry would be placed on the ledge near spawn.

I understand the Turbine part, it's a quite small map. But I find it rather easy for a scout to steal the intel right now. Especially on Doublecross. If 1 engineer would be allowed, teams will need to think a bit more tactical than just have a run for the intel.

Maybe it's worth trying to see what players like best?

Well the general consensus is that people prefer turbine without engineer, it makes the map a lot more dynamic and people actually win the map now. With doublecross I think an engineer could work, I have noticed the same thing that if a team is winning, they can pretty much just wander into the enemy base and stay in there while the losing team just gets owned ;)

That doesn't change the fact that a sentry up on the ledge would be a massive choke point since the only way it would go down without an uber is a sniper.
Testing the map with 1 engie sounds okay, I just really don't see how it would be different from the other ctf maps since the issue is not with the sentry itself, but with the 5-6 people that end up camping it as well. =)

@Minimoose
Yeah, the kritz thing is just silly. Not only is that team losing but after a cap they are either destroyed or forced to hide for a good 10-15 seconds.

How do I get all this neat stuff on the forum? Like stats on the bottom of the posts and the little country-flag next to the names?
