Well that's what valve do - soon they will change scout balance again, as they changed dead ringer already like 5 times ? Then they see the whining on steamforums, actually start testing changes they made and change the changes again ![]() |

To be fair that is true for nearly every class and their main weapon!!![]() I know they have messed around with spy alot, but that is the mist complex class out of all of them. The boink is now mostly useless, to go along with the useless cola can. |

The thing is, the scout is so powerful, using the 'side'grades almost always make you less effective. All they did was make you very annoying to play against, not actually dangerous to play against. I'm glad they are taking some of the 'annoying' parts away from the weapons. The FaN is still stupidly easy to kill with, it was the only scout unlock worth using since the beginning anyway. ![]() |

Yes, but the penalty against other scouts was at least a drawback for it because of the clip size (though it is better for "pop-up" attacks because of the fire rate).The FaN is still stupidly easy to kill with, it was the only scout unlock worth using since the beginning anyway. ![]() Taking away the bonk against ubers made sense. The pyro airblast was a great way to stop ubers (but at great personal risk as the pyro has to not fire and get in close). Being able to stun an uber instantly (factoring in the re-spin up time from the heavy) that could be done from a safe distance was a little too much of an advantage to the scout and invalidated the chargeup time for the uber. I'd have been happy if it had just been altered into a taunt with a short static animation to put the scout at some risk, but being do-able on the fly, something had to be reduced in this matter. |

You either use the fan for hit and runs or just to annoy people. While it is stupidly easy to kill one enemy with it (well, if it's not a buffed soldier) that's as far as you can go with it. So I guess it's a somewhat fair exchage, well, not for the one that does actually get killed by the fan but you can't do killing sprees with it either. Or use the air at your advantage. Or stay alive long on the ground.

It's really easy to do killing spree's with ![]() Hit the first shot, and the second is piss (easily doing ~100 damage in that second shot). If you don't kill them use the corners and the scouts double jump to your advantage. Normally people are unobservant enough (i assume we are talking about publics) for you to jump in, kill one without anyone seeing you, then repeat! Much easier to survive with the FaN as well, so you are dead for less time, hence easily keeping up the kpm. |
