No doubt it will be good but i'm not going to buy it from steam because steam are bunch of crocks with their outrages prices :) . I'm going to pick up a less expensive retail copy ,anyways from what i understand the game uses steam

Since Ballsy is involved in this game it will probably be as good as Rogue Warrior :ugly:
But seriously I'm really looking forward to it - AvP 1/2 and Alien Trilogy ( PSX ) were properly brilliant. I've read in some preview, that there will be a mission for Predator based on "get to da choppa" jungle rumble with Schwarzenegger  :skull:

yes if u want to use direct x 11,

also i know i work for the developer, but honestly i have no control over the game in anyway, im just an artists and video engineer not a game designer.

i made all the in game video screens and hud work in the pre-rendered FMV's for example; in one cutscene i made all the predator style hud graphics for when they zoom in on a enemy ship and the computer screens the player will see on monitors and such around the environment. I cant really go into specifics until its released, but my favourite thing i made was all the cockpit dials and meters/radar etc you see inside the dropship :D

chad we have concept artists and such who are much better than me with hand drawn stuff, but i do get to make all the graphics for the trailers in addition to the capturing, editing and composition work.

I want to like this, Protect, but I have to ask: was the 360 the dev platform?

Author:  ProtectMyBalls [ 24 Jan 2010, 03:10 ]
Post subject:  Re: [AvP] Alien v Predator

No, Its all created in engine, then we specify builds per platform, as each platform has different needs.

Good to hear. I am still nervous about the controls though. There has yet to be a game released on all 3 platforms that works well and when we are talking AVP, one of the fastest most twitchy shooters ever made, I really have my doubts. How on earth could an AVP style game be played on joypad? This kind of thinking leads me to not have very high hopes for the PC version unless there is a significant rewrite of major sections of the game in order to make it as good as it should/could be.

I'll guess we'll see but looking at the current FPS market and taking into account Rebellion's track record I am sure as hell not pre-ordering...

Howard im not gonna make any comments about the game until it's released, but i will say, most of the people who worked on AVP1 on the PC in 1999 are working on this one now, all i can say is if you liked AVP on the PC in 1999 then you will probably enjoy this one. The PC controls can be customised.
