Hmm, maybe not Illiterate (19)
I am gainy and Im a pro chef who aspires to become a soldier in the irish army. I enjoy cooking but really I want to get involved with global politics. I write to promote a little understanding because Ive noticed a number of hateful comments towards me on ur tf2 servers recently. While I do appreciate the attention and generally I laugh at it I do not want to see that shit - I dont think it helps the perpetrators either. Back to the real world Im mostly concerned with posture when gaming; Im standing as I write this and I stand when I play. To play games 25 hours/week sitting down is unhealthy, even standing I recognise my eyesight maybe affected but at least I will not suffer detriment to my athelticism. In my student years I was a professional games tester and that I am proud of. I held a #1 european (global) ranking at a game called battlefield1942, maybe ironically my motivation was to prove that such rankings dont mean anything. Hopefully if more gamers appreciate this we will become more productive. Thx for reading :18

Regarding politics of course like anyone Im open to bribes however what can be achieved with a solid reputation beats any amount of power from a bit of money. That said I cant see myself in the houses of paliament for 30 years at least for I need more life exp. cu

People hate Gainy because he annoys the shit out of people who run out of spawn and never learn to look around before they do. As for me, as soon as I notice he is on the other team I collect my free kill at spawn :twisted:

i used to be in the QA dept at our studio in oxford, but got sick of it and then got promoted to the video dept. Did really enjoy the work, really good way to learn the how the industry works and how game production works, but just got to a point where i couldnt progress any further and wanted to do something i was really interested in doing.

Yes, this is my guess as well, considering Gainy's rather awesome spy skills :) People find if very annoying with instant kills, and depending on who you backstab, some will build up quite some steam. Even more true if they get back stabbed the moment they set their foot outside spawn ;P
but it also depends how many times you've back stabbed them, and with what frequency ^^

Btw, cool to stand up in front of computers... perhaps something I should try :)

I must say that the reactions Ive been getting are not justified simply by the way I play tf2, even in chat I try to be friendly and approachable so the issue lies not here. I dont want to dwell on it; I am happy to have raised some awareness.

Re QA I think the promotion bit is where we differ because my company did not make games and instead only played. I got paid to play a major footballing title that I already enjoyed in a great location with a great team. There wasnt any departmental snobbery because we all just wanted to play games. Tbh the only reason I left the job is cuz i was living with 4 student mates. Had I not returned to fulltime education I would be liable for ££££s extra tax on the flat. My lifestyle was more important than the career but i digress

dr mcmoist im from s.lanarkshire and half irish though I lived in glasgow for 3 years. archlurker chad yes i might recommend standing to anyone, its perfect for me, but at the moment I only use my computer for leisure. I dont know how comfortable it would be if I had to write a dissertation.

Anyway thx for the warm welcome

I'm getting my share of abuse as well. It really doesn't bother me that much anymore, it just makes killing those people more enjoyable. So don't think you're in any way alone in this. If one of them does keep that shit up though and keeps abusing you just message one of the SpA people online and they'll come clean it up. =)

Gainy the annoying spy :) yeah recognized people complain about you. Funny always the same people complain and suprisingly the sort of people who get stabbed again and again instead of trying to deal with a known opponent and his prefered tactic.
I like those sort of people. In the end it is nothing but a compliment and for me they qualify themselves to be on the top of my "must kill again" list.
The final triumpf then is to bring them to rage-quit. :)

Anyway, i guess u must live with that sort of compliments as you are a good spy. :)... and Hi btw ;)
