So, as you all know I am secretly an Easy Mode player on my alt accounts. :-D While NOBODY should ever start learning the game in this sucky mode (ironically...) as outlined i.e. here: http://www.gamereplays.org/heroesofnewe ... ad-article it certainly is a lot of fun if you already are familiar with the game since EM is like a grotesque caricature of normal games, rewarding individual builds or skills doubly while cutting teamplay, gameplay balance and sensible builds in half. So anyways - you will never become a good player if you're only playing EM but if you come from normal mode you will be an EM GOD. My current pastime is joining low-level APEM games and trying to (read: succeeding in ;-) carry(ing) my team with EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER IN THE GAME - no matter whether he's AGI, INT or STR or even good at carrying - in APEM you gain gold and levels so quickly by proper last-hitting and out-level your opponents with denying (which EM players never do), so you can carry with stats and items only. I will update the list of completed character challenges and probably link to replays for epic lulz. So far I've carried games with the following heroes (AGIs being the least challenging) - it's more for my own reference and pointing out how ridiculous APEM is:
So, anybody wants to share this hobby and post his own ridiculous APEM games or even complete the whole roster on his/her own (NOT recommended on main account)? |

The madness continues with several Electrician and Pandamonium carry games. ;-) Actually I think this is a very good mode for practicing characters - you know, just assume you're playing with very, very dumb AI players. :-P |

Moon Queen, Engineer and Predator completed. Engineer was the toughest challenge because he isn't really a carry and you have to deal with retarded team mates. I wonder if I would be able to carry with Glacius. :-D |

Sounds good - though for APEM Elder Parasite and Shieldbreaker would work just as well - ha, ha.Anyways - Rampage and Zephyr completed. I really need to get onto the more challenging stuff. :-P |

Armadon, Wretched Hag and Hammerstorm completed. Damn, that Hammerstorm carry game was retarded - I ended up on a server with no respawn timers and even though I had like every item I would ever need including Behemoth's Heart, Symbols of Rage and the-like it took us like 20 minutes to push into the base. ;-) Especially since the two guys that actually hosted the game disconnected after like 20 minutes and it was a 3vs5 at first and a 3vs4 later... |

Legionnaire no-Portal-Key madness completed. :-D The secret to carrying with Legionnaire in APEM is easy - Barbed Armor. EVERYBODY picks up Elder Parasites - it really would be retarded if it wasn't so funny. All these AGI carries with no HP items pounding on you and not realizing that they are taking more damage from the Whirling Blades, Barbed Armor and autoattacks than they are actually dealing to me - then they suddenly reflect on their situation but BAM here comes the axe, which in the case of APEM carries is like 50-60% hp at level 3 (650 hp or below insta-gib). It's just rofltastic - of course the obligatory lane-skipping with Lego with noobs hanging around their first tower and not even knowing what's going on because they probably never look at the mini-map. Then they turn around but by that time I have taken out like two creep waves and am level 3, so again just DESTROY them with Whirling Blade considering how everybody goes boots first. ;-) APEM is SO shitty - it's hilarious. Next up: the character it's easiest to carry with in APEM - Plague Rider. :-D P.S. Edeph - I guess you answered the question whether I was serious in one of my previous posts yourself. :-P |

Vindicator completed - was piss-easy. Actually Silencer used to be played mainly as a carry in DotA from what I heard and even though he's a 1:1 port his role has been reduced to Ward Bitch. Just shows how different the metagame is for both games. Anyways - Vindi is a good carry since by late game he hits for like 400 with 100 being true damage. :-D Ah, Carry Keeper completed too - no, not Runed Axe and Mock of Brilliance etc. - Prodex, Stormspirit and Tablet of Command. :-D |
