As this is your opinion, I couldn't say your wrong or whatever, but I can say I really don't understand why you've put Wii sports on nr 1. If I had to put a game on nr1 or nr2 I'd have to put bf2 and cs on them , as they're the games I've played the longest of any other games, hence, I'd have to conclude that in my opinion they would be the best games according to me. Well, they entertained me the longest, bf2 still entertains me a lot. I do see games like wolfenstein, doom, commander keen, stunts!!!!!!! and many others miss in this list! ![]() You weren't playing around with computers about 10 years back? Or snes or whatever? (or was that longer ago?) "Recent" games I've loved were games like metal gear solid on the ps, assassin's creed, eve, pfff, too much to mention. This is a bit of an impossible task though, it's like name the top 10 bands for you, or top 10 movies. I got a ton of bands and movies I all like in different ways, etc. Ah well, another top 10 games post! ![]() |

pssh Wind Waker was a breath of fresh air in the art direction and that alone was enough for me to absolutely love it, yes there were some flawed parts in it but for me its one of the best zelda's. I couldn't stand playing Twilight princess with normal gfx. |

Annarack - truth be told as much as I am a fan of the Zelda series I don't like the direction it has taken since Phantom Hourglass. Both it and Spirit Tracks are by no means bad games on their own merits but I still wanted to post an epic rant about certain things a while ago - simply got the rage out of my system before I could be arsed to write it up. ;-) Also, I envy people who can compile lists like that so easily. If I were to make one myself I would have to have like 10 (at least!) games share each position. Blessed be thee not having to follow everything that's released - ignorance is bliss. :-P P.S. ROFL @ Sonic and the Black Knight in the initial post. I guess you are not old enough to remember the last Sonic games that were actually GOOD. :-P |

Well, it used to be a cool ACTION ADVENTURE series but meanwhile I don't see any adventure and most certainly no action in it. :-\You can all say whatever you like about zelda, I will still <3 it :5: :26 :18 It's all about strolling around in trains\boats in front of poorly draw backdrops due to DS graphics limitations. Why the heck did they go for full 3D when most of the game is top-down anyways? Why do 90% of the things you do in the game contribute absolutely NOTHING to the actual quest and are unnecessary padding (catching rabbits, pimping your ship/loc, collecting useless junk). Why are there so few dungeons and why are they SO much smaller than even in Link to the Past? Why is there so much backtracking and pointless busywork? Why are their retarded gimmicks like blowing into the mic - I thought people gave up on them after the initial releases to showcase the NDS features? Why do you encounter like a friggin' total of 3 enemies tops in a single location? Why are boss battles such a quick-time-event joke (poorly disguised)? Why are there so many uber-annoying characters and cut-scenes that are absolutely uninteresting but cannot be skipped? Zelda has become more of a Pokemon game than anything else. Please, please bring back A Link to the Past style titles for handhelds... They did it right on the GBA, why not the NDS? Loving a series unconditionally is not my cup of tea - actually loving it makes me all the more annoyed about the direction it has taken... The point is - it has Zelda in the title but has meanwhile moved so far away from its roots that it can barely be called Zelda anymore. People might call it "innovating" or "redefining" a game series that has become stale and formulaic but that's a load of bullcrap since neither of the two new Zelda games do anything innovative - it all has been done before but in titles that were more suited for the mechanics. P.S. And don't you boast about how you love Zelda - I played every single title in the series - I'm no less a fan than you, sadly... |

Wind waker <3 Twilight princess didn't even come close! And I do have to agree with lim-dul about the NDS outings, they simply aren't up to snuff. The Minish Cap, Oracle of Time, Oracle of Seasons, A link to the Past, Links awakening are way better than the newer outings.. Capcom really knew how to make Zelda on the portables. |

Just don't buy the DS Zeldas then? I thought Twilight Princess was pretty good, don't know if that was after or not.

Who said anything about buying? :-PIt's their sheer existence that's a disgrace upon the series. Twilight Princess was released before the first NDS Zelda a.k.a. Phantom Hourglass. |

OK - I don't know if I haven't done something like this in the past but instead of a stupid Top10 I'll compile a list of "Games You Should Have Seen and/or Played Unless You Suck and Are Not a True Gamer (According to Me)" :-P It's not about exposing my video game knowledge - I'm just firing up consecutive Wikipedia pages "200X in video gaming" and trying to remember which of these games ruled. Mind you, these are only major releases and many of the games I have only emulated much later or played at a friend's place or something. If you're asking why some oh-so-good title is missing: it's only good in your feeble mind. I might skip some expansions as they are not worth repeating if you liked the main game. I bet some of you will slap their foreheads and ask themselves why they didn't recall/include a certain game in their Top10. :-P Ah - I'm only listing titles I liked, obviously i.e. The Sims were a major gaming milestone but I couldn't care less about this franchise. 2000: TimeSplitters (PS2) Thief II Perfect Dark (N64) Shogun: Total War Deus Ex Diablo 2 Homeworld: Cataclysm (technically an expansion but I just want the first Homeworld to make the list :-D) Final Fantasy IX (PS1) Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.² Chrono Cross (PS1) Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force American McGee's Alice Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64) (The Operative:) No One Lives Forever Sacrifice The Longest Journey (in the US - ha! :-P) Banjo-Tooie (N64) Giants: Citizen Kabuto 2001: Paper Mario (N64) Clive Barker's Undying Conker's Bad Fur Day (N64) Serious Sam: The First Encounter Black & White Red Faction Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (GBA) Super Mario Advance (GBA) (a.k.a.
