Seems like Borealis might be the link between portal and hl series and ep3 will focus heavily on the infamous Borealis.

why the hell does alexx have red hair? did i miss that?!

Well the portal guns technology and probably GLaDOS are located on Borealis, so two games must be related ;) And I'm sure combine would love to get the hands on portal gun

Dude in this video probably used some modded skins from HL2:beta ;) Also there's a http://www.moddb.com/mods/missing-information Missing information mod, which tries to recreate the story as seen in the beta and some earlier trailers ;)

sells what? that game was released 3 years ago.

im pretty sure that ending took a 20 man team and 14 months to complete. id love to go to valves office, i bet its full of sexy people, not doing much work, and having affairs... well, minus the sexy people and the affairs bit.

I never even saw the original ending to Portal.

I didn't finish it. Just like I've never finished any of Valve's other single player games.

True story.

I love that kind of marketing... just too funny. And Balls is funny, too. Every 2nd post is a complaining one from him. At least Valve will release something and I will be able to buy it here in Germany. :4

Yes, you'll be able to buy another game that will have orange juice for blood, and every character's head replaced with one of the Teletubbies.

Hey man, Germany is where the Goth trend started. Do you want to give those kids a pixeled axe?

Didnt someone post a video of a mode for L4D which used Teletubbie skins, that actually looked more terrifying than the standard zombie skin.

and i dont hate valves marketing, im just sick of it, they haven't released a full game in like 4 years, and its not like they are spending the time doing a massive engine overhaul - i want my new shit!

Agreed, not many people care about marketing gimmick anymore just announce the game/something/new engine already like other companies do :) ( but not like blizzard who announce their game 3 years before a possible release date)

I like gimmicky marketing and I'm not especially fussed about the time frame they make games in as long as they entertain me when they do come out (i.e not L4D5)

Valve has just officially announced the upcoming release of Portal 2!

Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike, and Half-Life) and leading technologies (such as Steam, Source), today announced Portal 2 for shipment this coming holiday season.

This "holiday season" means that gamers everywhere will see the game around November or December of this year.
I was kinda expecting a release in the next few months....

Quote:
Coming this holiday. Portal 2 is the sequel to 2007's Game of the Year and draws from the award-winning formula of innovative game play, story, and music that earned the original over 70 industry accolades. Features single and multiplayer co-op modes. The single-player portion of Portal 2 introduces a cast of dynamic new characters, a host of fresh puzzle elements, and a much larger set of devious test chambers. Players will explore never-before-seen areas of the Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion who guided them through the original game. The game's two-player cooperative mode features its own entirely separate campaign with a unique story, test chambers, and two new player characters. This new mode forces players to reconsider everything they thought they knew about portals. Success will require them to not just act cooperatively, but to think cooperatively.

GameStop's description of the PC and Xbox 360 game indicates that Portal 2 is due later this year—the online retailer lists an October 26 release date—bringing with a cast of "dynamic new characters" and "never-before-seen areas of the Aperture Science Labs." And yes, as hinted at earlier, players will be reunited with GLaDOS.
