yeah pretty much, except its got a bigger multiplayer aspect, and does sound pretty cool knowing there are 99 people in the city who are trying to kill you.. well unless some of them are police - im guessing the mode is pretty much cops and robbers. be worth keeping an eye on. |

I've seen a couple of vids. Could be a fun game. Thanks for pointing out the beta key giveaway, I just grabbed one.  Will only check it out after my exams though.

For your reference, the recommended specification for beta PCs at the moment is: * Core2 Quad 2.4Ghz or equivalent * 4GB Main Memory * Geforce 8800 512MB or equivalent * 20GB free disk space * XP 32 & Vista 64 (Vista 32 not yet advisable) How much RAM do you have McMoist?

I was in the beta and the gunfights were pretty lame because they had zero feedback. Running bad guys over with your police car was fun for a bit.

GTA IV multiplayer was uber fun, spent shitload of time mostly in GTA Race, mainly cause after 4 corners race turned into one big destruction derby = 3-4 players ahead were racing, and other 12 were just trying to catch and kill the leading pack There was nothing funnier than losing your car in big explosion only to grab a moped and some molotovs  gonna give it a try.

I loved the idea of giving people moped after they died Or ambushing the race leader on the busiest crossroads

The start of the race was often the most tragic lol i love the fact the moped is called the Faggio! |

It's an MMO, so think GTA meets WoW with slightly more emphasis on actual skill as opposed to leftclickleftclickleftclickleftclickrepeatuntilfade....... |

I played the beta only for an hour yet, cause hadn't more time to spare. That was just for the tutorial and the character setup. The customization options are really cool. Dunno much about the game play. My PC cannot handle it well (also ignored the 2+ GB RAM check) and the cars drove like drunken cows. Will check it out more, but the limited playtimes suck monkey balls. |
