A success! the match ended up having close to 400 viewers on SourceTV and 160 people listening to the ETF2L radio cast in mumble (which has some of us and the other team being interviewed at the end, cookye didn't talk :()

2 teams not having lost a single map this season. This may very well prove to be the decider for who gets automatic promotion to Div1. The broders are coming off as favourites, and has a good track record with 5-0 last time the teams met on Freight (ESL). To make special matters worse, a special member has gotten a special fever that leaves him unable to attack. They will deploy the special merc, Dreadi. Watch out for fierce duels between 2 of Europe's best snipers, Berserker, and Kukkye.

Predictions: Torden (draw), F2 (draw), Dave (broder), JimmyBreeze (broder)
News Post on ETF2L: http://etf2l.org/2010/04/11/game-of-the ... o-tonight/

Match Page: http://etf2l.org/matches/16092/

STV's should be on the match page once the admins confirm them and the ETF2L Radio Cast (people talking about the match while it's happening) are here http://fakkelbrigade.eu/archives/2059/b ... -shoutcast <---Highly recommended if you decide to watch the stv

Freight is pretty much a waste of time, since we got obliterated. Gorge is pretty exciting. Oh and needy had a fever but decided to take loads of drugs and play anyway.

Dave's shoutcast was really awesome. Though he should probably get another brit to do the other team since it's so much easier to speak if english is your native language. No translation lag. :P

As for the game, the first two rounds on freight were very exciting. A good defence on the last cap in the first one and, unfortunately, a badass comeback in the second round from broder after that fail push you guys had on the last point. After that it was pretty much a steamroll. :(

Gorge was just awesome, awesome fun. From broder's defence loltactic, to the sniper game, to reveral's amazing backstabs and the last cap pushes from both teams. Really a joy to watch and very entertaining. Of course, the fact that you guys won it helps a lot there.

Also, a lil inside funny info on the stv comments: For the whole Freight game people where pretty much constantly talking about kukkye and if he hacks or not. :ugly: There was also some moron posing as Reptile (well, at least I hope it was a poser) talking about how stuff works.

Oh, and Saint's "So what's the score if both win one map?" and "What does 3-3 mean?" comments were just too funny. xD <3

I felt like a woman at a football match.

The match was awsome to watch though! Especially the second map was a 360 degree turn on the expectations on STV! Well done!

Btw, did you change your mic or did your voice just get a lot deeper out of nowhere(i.e. growing up up up)?

@Saint
Yeh, awesome to watch. In fact, for me, tf2 is the best game for a spectator. Really entertaining.

My voice has always been deep, my voice was deeper when I was 15 (which looked ridiculous because I was small)

I do have to use a webcam microphone now since all my headsets broke.

So it's the mic. For a minute there I thought you got yourself a set of bionic balls.

I've used this webcam for at least 8 months now, I think, I'm really not sure when my others broke.

Very good match and cast. I think you were nervous on freight, che died so much and you played a bit chaotic. But gorge was really awesome. Brothers' fail sentry places, backstabs, cookye vs. berserker etc. were very enjoyable. Congratz!

Nah, it wasn't nerves on freight, their style of play on it completely counters ours, and when you're getting raped it's easier to make mistakes as well ;)

Tactics rethink needed :P

Fun and enjoyable game to watch. Never expected a draw since I originally thought, once the game had started, that broder would win -- of course I hoped for you guys; screw my fellow countrymen.

Reveral's backstab-medic-buttsecks and broder's double sentry placement on gorge was the most enjoyable part.

Meh. It's not the same if it's not live.

I should really start getting into TF2 more again, I feel like I'm missing out a lot epic moments.

And sebas, Mini's voice has always been fucking sexy 8)

STV chat is either really annoying or hilarious, the Americans on it are both :P

The shoutcasts make it a lot more fun to watch matches, especially for people who don't know much about competitive play (of course this doesn't apply to you :D)

I know. I also enjoy watching matches with commentary although I got (most of) the knowledge because the commentators (usually) are way better at analyzing and describing situations so there's always something to learn even for experienced players.

It's just not the same watching a recorded match compared to watching a live stream - it's just not as exciting if I know the things going on don't happen at the very same moment (this applies to all other kinds of sports or videogames as well for me).

If broder draw one then but win the rest then that means there will be a playoff between us for first place I guess, since we weren't actually on equal points when the match was played (we had played a match before which we won 4-1).

Broder have to play PENTIA, who have suddenly become worse due to roster/rage issues, and also HolyShit who might be able to get a point of them (one of the maps is gorge).

We started off the season thinking a top 3 place would be good, so it's turned out rather well ;)
